Steel lugged frame:
Our frame supplier has been making lugged frames since 1930. Mostly in use for the classic Holland type bike the lugged technology has proved itself over the years. And when we were looking for a frame to carry at least 135 kilos, the lugged frame seemed the best place to start. We use a standard geometry front frame and a Touring rear frame. This gives us the necessary space for the fat tires. The frames are made in three different styles - Mens Diamond, Ladies Trapeze and the classic Ladies Dutch Style. We paint the fenders the same colour as the frame and use the wide 65mm fenders.
Brooks Saddles:
Brooks England is a bicycle saddle manufacturer located in Smethwick, Birmingham, England. The company is well-known for manufacturing traditional leather bicycle saddle. They have been in operation since 1866, when they were founded in Hockley, Birmingham. The B66 series is the most popular of Brooks's sprung models. They are an excellent choice for recreational or utility cycling in a fairly upright posture. The B66 is most appropriate for cyclists who set their handlebars higher than their saddles. In general, the more upright your riding posture, the wider, and more heavily sprung, the saddle you should choose.
Schwalbe Fat Frank Tires:
This tire raises eyebrows all over town. Available in black and cream the Fat Frank is a cocktail mix of a classic scooter tire and a bmx tire. Wide tires damp shocks like suspension. Cyclists who prefer comfort know that the voluminous Big Apple or Fat Frank glide gently over potholes, possible because of the pneumatic cushioning. Both tires cushion better because they can be ridden with abnormally low air pressure. The perfect tire for BiGBOYs.
Hebie Chainglider:
This chain guard covers your bike chain totally, protecting both your trousers and chain. Minimalist and sportive, it is simple and quick to mount and with only 250 gr extremely light.
Sturmey Archer Hubdynamo: Back from the past, the traditional British company Sturmey Archer is making the right kind of products for modern mobility. Always a favourite in England and the Netherlands, now we are using their hubs in our BiGBOY line. The X-FDD Front Dynamo Hub with 70mm Drum Brake with Sealed Cartridge Bearings 3.0W.
