The Adventurists on Tour with BiGBOYs
The Adventurists are an unusual band: they create shows in the instant. Not just normal shows, but twisting turning theatrical experiences. In the spring of 2008, a chance encounter caused Sam Walker (John Watts, Turning Green) and Daniel Clark’s (The Hat, Lou Rhodes) paths to cross. Within days they had collaborated on a version of British folk tune ‘Matty Groves’ laden with horns and swamp guitars, and within a matter of months they were on the road together touring the British Isles. The Adventurists utilise Celtic Harp, Steel Pan, a homemade drum kit and electric & acoustic guitars to bring their songs and stories to life.
The Adventurists tour on 2 BiGBOY bicycles. One of these bike tows a customised carry freedom trailer carrying a mobile pop out stage just large enough to perform on and a small solar powered P.A, the other an Xtracycle - which carries all the instruments, tents and bags. Using only pedals and the sun to power their shows, The Adventurists offer a very modern solution to an age-old endeavor- the role of the traveling troubadour.

For the first of their tours of the islands surrounding the U.K which takes place on the Isle of Wight from the 29th June to the 4th July they will be playing over 15 shows in the 5 days, in environments from Botanical Gardens to theme parks, beaches to forests, stately homes to lighthouses, and nearly everything they can think of in between, taking their entertainment to the masses.
